In chapter 2 we learned about the architecture of how computers follow instructions. Computers use a Central Processing Unit, or CPU, to receive and execute commands. This allows the computer to process the instruction that it received. I think that this can be related to Hope College in the way that professors are always giving instructions to students. I believe that it is similar to the machine cycle, fetch, decode, and execute. Fetching is retrieving an instruction from memory, which happens when the professor first tells you the assignment. Decoding means figuring out what needs to be done. This is when you plan out how you will complete the assignment. Executing it the action required to to complete the instruction, this is the act of actually doing your assignment. These steps continue on and on and on and never end.
