Part of Chapter 3 deals with Computer Security. To protect your computer from unauthorized users, the operating system has times where you put in user names and/or passwords. I use passwords/combinations everyday as a college student. I use a password to get on my computer and put a combination in my bike lock. I have a code for my apartment and a code for the locker room. My email, facebook, voicemail, and knowhope plus account all have passwords that only allow me to access the information.
It also reminds me a little bit about volleyball. When the other team is trying to attack our side, we put up a block. Sometimes (hopefully more often than not) our block does its job by keeping the ball on the other side. There are times though, that the ball gets pass the block. In this case we have our defense to prevent the ball from hitting our side. This acts like the windows that come up asking for permission to continue. If the ball gets pass our block and the other security precautions enough times, we lose (our computer crashes). But, since our block and defense is strong, we don't have to worry about our computers crashing too often. :)
