Storage Systems on Hope College

During these last few weeks of classes we have learned about the storage systems of a computer. A computer stores its data through many systems such as: bits, and pixels, as I was thinking about this concept I thought about all the different ways of data storage that students use on campus.

Students have tons of information from either class or personal collections that they have to store somewhere. When a student is working on a project and has files that they need to transfer from one computer to the next, they use USB drives to store these files on. When a student has a bunch of music files that they want to listen to off of their computers they will use their iPods, mp3 players, or cds. Then you have students with pictures that they can store on their phones. Along with all of these you will also find the safe student you will decide to make backups of all their files and store them on cds, or an external hard drive.

So as we can see students resemble a computer in the way that they have many ways of storing and displaying information.
