There are many things that we learned in this chapter. Mainly we talked about networks, networks are linked computer systems that can exchange messages and share resources. There are many things that I could relate networks to me being here at Hope College. One example is that here at Hope College, there is a lot of us, there are plenty of faculty and many student here, we are almost like a network, we exchange messages by listening to lectures, talking like we are friends or exchanging homework problems, we are sharing resources by using the same exercise machines, using the same computers in the labs, sitting in the desks, all of these we are using together. Here at Hope college we have a certain network that we hook out computers up to to get internet, there are some buildings that have WiFi, and others such as Dykstra that you have to use a ethernet cord to get the internet, but all of us here at Hope College are running through the same network.
The other thing that I LOVE about Hope College is that through Hope being from one network and through one bus, professors can use one email and send it to everyone in the class, yes, I know that this is not benefiting me completely, but it just makes everything so much more convenient and easier for everyone.
